In the Cotswolds

We went away to the Cotswolds for a few days last week. The weather was pretty lousy – rained two days out of the three we were there but on Tuesday we were lucky enough to have a whole day of sunshine. We made use of it by taking a long walk to Lower Slaughter, which is a gorgeous village near to Bourton-on-the-Water, where we stayed. The honey-coloured cottages, the mini-bridges and shallow rivers made a beautiful backdrop. Travelling with a young child (especially a naughty one!) was quite stressful, and the wet weather made things more difficult, but we all tried our best to make the most of it. What was the best thing out of this trip? I have become a more confident driver and stopping to allow a group of ducks to cross the road was a really cute experience.
